LUWEERO-The district security committee chaired by the resident district commissioner, Geoffrey Kyomukama, has halted construction of a multi-million shilling mosque by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council. The order follows wrangles between two Muslim factions over its ownership. The two groups, one loyal to the Mufti, Shaban Mubajje and another to rival mufti Zubair Kayongo, fought on Tuesday. The scuffle forced teachers at the nearby Kasana Primary School to suspend classes.
