OVER 800 students of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) have petitioned the High Court over delay by Makerere University to register them.

OVER 800 students of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) have petitioned the High Court over delay by Makerere University to register them.

The petition was filed on April 28 by the students’ guild and four students, Arthur Nantamu, Brian Musoke, Jacob Orien, Akileo Ndyabambireki and Allan Ayikiriza, on behalf of the others.

They are demanding speedy registration and recognition by the parent university. The students were admitted before their new courses were approved by the Makerere University Council.

This led to a disagreement over the legitimacy of the students and courses, with Makerere rejecting some students.
