BOXING-Sharif Bogere will face American Marcos Herrera in a six-round non-title super featherweight contest in Las Vegas today. Mugabe loses
TENNIS-Uganda’s top tennis player Duncan Mugabe lost to Georgian Lazare Kukhalashvili 6-0 6-1 in the first round of the main draw at the Great Britain F6 Futures tournament in Edinburgh. Mugabe had to go through qualifiers where he got a bye in the first round. He then dispatched Britain’s Liam Broady 6-4 6-2 in the second round. It was the first ITF/Futures for Mugabe in England. The player will compete in the Great Britain F7 ITF/Futures tournament in Newcastle next week.

28 teams enter European show
SOCCER-Twenty- eight teams are set for the fourth annual TKL European Union football tournament due at Kololo Airstrip tomorrow. In the U-12 category, defending champions Young Express are drawn in group B with Proline, Edgars and last year’s runners up Sacreana from Kenya. Group A has Jogoo Young, KKL Euro team, Hoima and teams from Kasese.
