FORMER Super League sides Mbale Heroes and CRO underlined their ambitions to return to top flight football in the ongoing eastern region Super Mini League with wins over Soroti and Ngora respectively yesterday.

But the two sides will have to prove their might when they face each other in the group stage of the competition today.

Joseph Kusimba, Geoffrey Titi and Michael Kawooya netted a goal each as Heroes beat Soroti 3-0 while CRO trounced Ngora 4-0 in Kamuli.
Heroes were relegated from the Super League in 2007 and put up a dismal challenge last year. CRO were relegated last season.

In Kampala, Mutundwe and Bweyogerere won with solitary goals.
