Their argument is not based on tribalism as she thinks, but rather on equal distribution of resources to all stakeholders in the new Ntoroko district. It is absurd to have the district headquarters in an area with only one tribe and think others will be served effectively.

The people in Rwebisengo always claim that other tribes like the Bakonzo and Bamba are hostile in the area and that they are bairu (serfs). Under such circumstances, how do you expect such people to be served from Rwebisengo if the district headquarters are built there? District headquarters must be based in a multi-tribal area where the rights of all people will be met equally.

Secondly, the districts of Bundibugyo and Kasese were rescued from the Toro hegemony through blood and sweat. Therefore, anything that is likely to bring back the memories of slavery in the area must be checked.

The Rwenzururu veterans have a cause to petition the President. The ministry of local government must also be very keen on the location of the headquarters of Ntoroko district.
