Treat suspects equally – NGO
KABAROLE -The Paralegal Advisory Services national executive coordinator, Livingstone Sewanyana, has asked the Police and courts to treat people equally. “During a radio programme on a local station, some callers said the law was in favour of the rich and not the poor when they commit criminal offences. Justice is for everybody and, therefore, Police and Prisons officers have to work together to achieve this goal,” Sewanyana said. He was speaking during the launch of the organisation’s branch in the district at Boma play grounds on Monday. The coordinator, Lydia Wanyama, said they had enabled the locals address congestion and delays in the criminal justice system.
