- Ndejje University student Eric Walusansa clinched his maiden victory when he swept the field in the third Uganda Woodball Federation beach circuit at Lido Beach on Sunday. Alex Lubwama (Nkumba) finished second ahead of Collins Semanda in the Crown Beverages sponsored event that attracted over 50 participants. In the women category, Flavia Navvubya walked away with the title.

Africa youth netball defending champions Uganda made an impressive start in the on going championships in Zanzibar. Team captain Hadijja Nakabuye put Uganda on track against Tanzania with 21 goals in the 39-25 victory yesterday.

Cranes disrupt Kyabazinga
- The Kyabazinga Cup organising committee has postponed the event’s semi-finals that were due this weekend to July 28-29 to allow Cranes supporters attend the international friendly with the visiting Brazilian national team ex-stars. Organising committee chairman Richard Kimera said the dates were changed to allow fans cheer the Cranes. The final will be played on August 2.
