OFF-SPINNER Davis Arinaitwe produced a decisive all-round performance as Uganda claimed a seven-wicket victory over Bermuda on the third day of their Intercontinental Shield match yesterday.

The team vice captain first took 4-34 to help restrict the hosts to a second-innings score of 139, which left Uganda needing 111 to win the four-day contest.

The fact that Bermuda had been bowled out in the morning left Uganda with ample time to mount a successful chase and they did not disappoint.

Arinaitwe went on to score an unbeaten 30 off 83 balls as Uganda won in 49.5 overs. Attention now shifts to the two one-day friendlies Saturday and Sunday.

Busoga High’s impressive run in the Coca Cola schools week ran out yesterday as they were bundled out of the event by Kings College Budo.

The last Super six matches are on today.
