THERE has been talk of two music videos being banned by Uganda’s national broadcaster UBC TV. We have since confirmed that the two videos are Obsession’s Jangu and Iryn Namubiru’s new video; Gwe Obasinga.
THERE has been talk of two music videos being banned by Uganda’s national broadcaster UBC TV. We have since confirmed that the two videos are Obsession’s Jangu and Iryn Namubiru’s new video; Gwe Obasinga.
The videos are said to be too raunchy for the audience. Another unofficial version claims that two government bigwigs, ethics minister, Nsaba Buturo, and First Lady and Karamoja affairs minister, Janet Museveni, were angered by the videos and they called the TV station as the video played, to express their disappointment with the station for screening such material.
The station has since dropped the two videos from their play lists.
