UNEB only stamps and signs copies

EDITOR—On Monday, Cris Magoba wrote a letter complaining about the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) fees. We wish to clarify that UNEB makes letters of verification of results but does not certify. We only sign and stamp photocopies.
EDITOR—On Monday, Cris Magoba wrote a letter complaining about the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) fees. We wish to clarify that UNEB makes letters of verification of results but does not certify. We only sign and stamp photocopies.
The document that costs sh50,000 is a hard card similar to the original certificate. The recommendations from the previous schools are necessary to confirm that the person claiming those results is genuine.
Centres which no longer exist are very few and those affected are handled differently. In case of lost documents, UNEB requires a Police report.
