Women praise Museveni
- Kayunga
Women have commended President Yoweri Museveni and the NRM government for respecting their rights. They said this had contributed to their social, political and economic development. The women were celebrating the International Rural Women’s Day at Galiraya sub-county headquarters on Thursday. “It is in this regime that women have started being represented from the village level to the Parliament,” the women said. The deputy resident district commissioner, Deborah Mbabazi, asked women to instill moral values in their children. She noted that there was a high rate of moral decadence among the young generation. Merinah Konyonyo, the president of the National Associations of Women Organisations, asked women to be innovative and use the available resources to develop their communities.
