THE Government should take alcoholism and drunknneess very seriously in Uganda. It is alarming and shameful to hear that out of 10 people admitted at Butabika hospital, four of them have alcohol-related disorders. This is because there is a lot of cheap alcohol on on the market that goes for as little as sh100!
The Government should restrict the consumption of alcohol. A teacher who is found drunk during working hours should be sacked instead of just being transferred. This should not only be done to teachers but to everybody else who behaves irresponsibly because of alcohol.
