NETHERLANDS — Worn during sleep, the anti-wrinkle bra, La Decollette, is said to rid women of a wrinkly cleavage by separating the breasts. The unusual bra is supposed to banish the wrinkles left on a woman's cleavage when she sleeps on her side. Rachel de Boer, the Dutch designer behind the bra, explains that it provides a layer of cushioning between the breasts to prevent them squeezing together, the cause of vertical wrinkles in the cleavage. The bra is sold at £45 (sh135,000) and is available in many European countries.

Man kills wife while dreaming
UK — The trial of a man who strangled his wife while dreaming he was fighting off an intruder is continuing in the Swansea Crown Court. Brian Thomas, 56, admits to killing his 57-year-old wife Christine while they were on holiday in Wales, but says the attack was the result of a sleeping disorder. They had two grown-up daughters. Thomas called police saying he thought he had killed some ‘boy racers’ in his dreams only to realise it was Christine and that she was dead.

Women buried under chemicals
UK — The average British woman ‘hosts’ 515 chemicals on her body everyday, according to a new study. The poll of 2,016 women by deodorant-maker Bionsen said most of the pollutants are self-inflicted by women who sprayed on deodorant, slapped on body moisturiser and applied lipstick each morning. Today’s average British woman uses body and facial moisturisers, perfumes, deodorants and various other make-up products which leave them unknowingly carrying hundreds of chemicals on their bodies throughout the day. More than 70% of the women polled said they were not concerned about the number of chemicals they put on their skin and only one in 10 opted for chemical-free toiletries when shopping.
