EDITOR—I am an ardent viewer of WBS TV. however, the frequent changes in the programme line-up on the station is not only becoming too much but irritating. Over the years and in particular last year, I can easily count the number of times management changed its programme time-table.
If these changes were based on research and limited changes over short periods of time it would be understandable and a welcome idea. My observation is that WBS suddenly changes programme timings when it realises that one or two of their programmes is about to wind up.
This is particularly true of South American soaps. This causes a ‘sense of panic’. During the time they are trying to shop around for new programmes, the audience is fed on repeated programmes especially during the day or weekends.
