HE was among hundreds of Muslims who went to Kololo Airstrip to attend special prayers for the Palestinians, when he got a call from his mother that he had scored aggregate four.

Abdul Karim Ggubya, 14, a pupil of KY day and Boarding Primary School in Nyendo, Masaka said: “I never expected our results to be out at this time and I had expected to get maybe aggregate five. but I’m surprised and happy for that,” Ggubya, dressed in a white tunic, said.

He looked hungry and exhausted after spending the whole day with his father, Yasin Maalo of Kyengera, attending prayers at Kololo.

Ggubya confessed that English was hard but he was surprised that he was able to overcome it and scored highly. He scored five in the Mock exams, with two in English.

He wants to join Kibuli SS because he wanted a school where they teach Islam and is very keen on religion.

“I like my religion so much that I have always wanted to join a school where I will be able to practise as I want,” he said.
