EDITOR—Shell should stop fooling motorists by displaying the cheapest petrol price while they do not have fuel. They should borrow a leaf from other stations that post 0000 whenever they run out of fuel. It is useless to post a price as cheap as sh100 while you don’t have the commodity in the first place. EDITOR—During Idi Amin’s era, I used to laugh whenever I passed by a Bata shop. Bata used to have ‘political’ shoes displayed behind the glass when there was nothing in the shop. When a customer went in and asked for the shoes, the staff would say with a straight face: “Those are for display onlyâ€! That is what Shell is doing to motorists today. Why display attractive prices when the tanks are dry?
