EDITOR—Today, sex has been made commonplaceand has eaten away our society’s moral fabric. Recently, I was with a friend in a shop in Kagadi town and a ten-year-old boy entered and asked the shopkeeper for Protector condoms! What for? We were shocked! However, when we asked who had sent him, he said it was his aunt with whom he is living. Terrible!

But this is not an isolated case. Very many children out there are being continuously bombarded with notions that there is nothing wrong with sex and they should enjoy it! Nudity, secular lyrics, radios, tabloids, books, magazines, billboards, pornography, among others, showcase sex as a prominent ingredient. This has made, and might continue making, the young generation prone to ‘exciting’ experiences that will condition them into engaging in casual sex, devoid of love, care, and selfessness. And because children are living in such a perverted society that seeks to force ideas of sexual permissiveness on them, they might find self-control almost impossible in adulthood.

Unless parents, guardians and other adults clearly decide to stop this current exhibitionism of sex now, we are brewing disaster for our children!
