IN what is now an annual affair, Arua-based Adiyo Designs house, chooses Valentine’s Day to showcase the latest fashion designs available from their collections.
On Saturday, Irene Adiyo, a student of fashion and design at Tiner International School of Beauty, was exhibiting designs for the second time round, a feat that surpassed many people’s expectations.
It brought to the fore a fact that nobody can claim monopoly over fashion. The guests at Heritage Courts complemented the event with their own trendy dressing. Even the ushers at some point experienced difficulties telling whether or not they were receiving the models or guests.
Though slated for 6:00pm, the show kicked off at 10pm. Local singing duo, Black Harmon and King Weederman entertained the crowd but Weederman went overboard by performing his Moonberg Lager promotion song yet Bell Lager, was the major sponsor of the show.
An official apology was, however, made by the MC, DJ Fat Chris of Nile FM.
The designs ranging from casual, office, kids to bridal, ended at 2:30am, with many guests satisfied.
