THE Police are holding 18 people suspected of terrorising and robbing people in the districts of Kibaale, Isingiro, Mbarara, Kamwenge, Busia and Kampala.

THE Police are holding 18 people suspected of terrorising and robbing people in the districts of Kibaale, Isingiro, Mbarara, Kamwenge, Busia and Kampala.
The Rapid Response Unit (RRU) that conducted the month-long operation recovered six guns, a pistol, 161 bullets, sh49m and airtime worth sh800,000.
Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba told journalists at the RRU offices in Kireka, a Kampala suburb yesterday, where the suspects were paraded, that one of the suspects, Pte. Elisa Ahimbisibwe, escaped from Gulu dsitrict with a gun and 20 bullets.
“He went to Isingiro where he hired out the gun to Jamada Tibalimana to fetch him sh3m every month,†Nabakooba said, adding that the two later disagreed and fell out after Tibalimana started to cheat Ahimbisibwe on the loot.
