MOSES Kipsiro will be
yearning silverware when he
takes part in today’s IAAF World Athletics Final in Stuttgart, Germany, Norman Katende reports.

The All Africa Games gold
medallist and world championship
bronze medallist will be competing in the 3000m race of the lucrative
event, which will climax the track and season calendar.

800m runner Abraham
Chepkirwok, who finished
fourth in the World championship
early this month, will return for the same event, whose winner will
walk away with a sh52m cash prize.

“There will be prizes totalling $3m (sh5.3bn) to be given away in the twoday competitions,” the IAAF release stressed.

Kipsiro, who has the fastest time on the 3000m start list, will come up
against experienced runners
in Kenya’s Boniface Songok,
Joseph Ebuya and Kibet
Biwott, Australian Craig
Mottram and Irish Alistair
Cragg among others.

Chepkirwok will also be up against most of the Osaka finalists, including Moroccan Amine Laalou,
Bahrain’s duo of Youssef Kamel and Belal Mansoor and South African Mbulaeni Malaudzi.
