Youngsters train
A two-month handball training camp for youngsters in Luwero district ends with a one-day today. The competition will be held at the UPDF General headquarters in Bombo.The training camp, conducted by Hungary-trained instructor, George Isabirye, was organised by the Uganda Amateur Handball Federation in conjunction with UPDF directorate of sport. A number of awards will be given out to the best performers.
Archery
UGANDA Archery Federation (UAF) has embarked on a programme to spread the sport country wide through clubs and schools. International Archery Federation (FITA) coach Daryn Raxliffe from England has been in Kampala for two weeks on the campaign that will take six months. Emphasis will be on primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in various regions of Uganda. FITA and the Uganda Olympic Committee offered help.
