LEAGUE Champions URA FC will officially parade their pre-season players at a party in Naguru today, reports Fred Kaweesi and Norman Katende.

The new recruits and the old crop are expected to steer the club to superior heights during the new soccer season starting next month.

Club secretary Nixon Twebaze explained yesterday that the club’s pre-season arrivals would be unveiled at an occasion to be used to parade silverware the other URA clubs won last season.

“We will have the new players introduced, trophies gathered from football, volleyball, darts and the corporate league presented to the people who have supported us.”
The function will also serve as an award ceremony for the best performers.

URA football club’s new signings include Ismail Kigozi and Martin Muwanga formerly with Rwandan side ATRACO and Joram Katende who moved from SC Villa.
At the same time, former URA coach Deo Sserwadda has been in Lira to help Boroboro club assemble a team for the Super League season scheduled to start on October 20.
