IGANGA-The Police have arrested seven students of Busoga University suspected of attempting to murder their colleague on Sunday night. The regional Police commander, Christopher Kubai, said one of the suspects had gone to visit his girlfriend, and allegedly found a fellow student at her place. He then mobilised his friends, who are suspected to have attacked the student found in the girlfriend’s room.


Man hacked to death

MAYUGE-Aggrey Bafirawala, a resident of Malongo sub-county, was hacked to death by unknown assailants on Saturday. The Police chief, Christopher Kubai, said the thugs attacked the 24-year-old at 11:00pm. He said reports show that Bafirawala could have been murdered over accusations that his father practiced witchcraft.
