KABALE -About 23 artisans have undergone training in water harvest technology at the Diocese of Kigezi. The artisans were passed out last week by Bishop George Katwesigye at a function held at the Rain Water Training Centre. Katwesigye reiterated the Diocese’ commitment to training the youth to become job creators. Rev. Reuben Byomuhangi, the acting coordinator of the programme, said that the group was trained to construct water jars and tanks.
The Isingiro district secretary for works, Adam Mugume, encouraged the public to adopt rain water harvesting techniques.


Accountant found dead

FORT PORTAL-An accountant working at the Fort Portal Hospital at Buhinga has been found dead in his home in Kahungabunyonyi West Division. John Tumuhairwe, 59, hailed from Bushenyi district. A post-mortem report showed that Tumuhairwe died of Hypoglycaemia (lack of glucose in the body).
