A court in Mityana district has sentenced a man to 15 months imprisonment or a fine of sh200,000 for possessing marijuana.<br>

A court in Mityana district has sentenced a man to 15 months imprisonment or a fine of sh200,000 for possessing marijuana.

Prosecution told court presided over by Grade Two Magistrate Ssalongo Luwagga that Hassan Lutalo, on October 3, was found with the narcotic substance in his home in Luwonvu village, Mityana district. Court heard that Lutalo was terrorising the village, forcing the area residents and local leaders to organise his arrest.

Meanwhile, Luwagga also cautioned a 13-year-old boy for stealing cabbage. The boy, a pupil at Nakaseeta in Busimbi sub-county, is said to have stolen Matia Ssegawa’s cabbages worth sh100,000.
