First class is not enough!

Editor— the criteria used to retain teaching assistants in universities in Uganda is not proper. The mere fact that a student has got a first class degree does not necessarily mean that he or she can teach.

I have noted that some of the students on “the dean’s list” fail to deliver! I suggest that these students should be thoroughly be interviewed.
