ARE you tired of scorches on your flat iron? Rodney Kansiime, a sales executive at Keen Business Solutions Limited, says: “Ironing on a magic pad prevents a flat iron from scorches caused by over-heating”

A magic pad is a surface cushioned with a special sponge that resists heat up to 2500C for as long as 24 hours.
According to Kansiime, the pad is meant to be dressed over the ironing board because it is heat-resistant.

When ironing, sprinkle some water onto the pad — it absorbs the water and reflects it back onto the cloth so that the job is neat.

Kansiime adds that apart from preventing the flat iron from scorches, the pad also helps save electricity. You can iron at a lower temperature because the pad reflects the heat onto the cloth. You do not even need to iron the other side of the garment as it gets ironed automatically.

The pad has a soft material which helps to prevent button and zip marks that form as a result of ironing on a hard surface.
The pad is easy to clean; you just have to wash it and hang like any other cloth. It dries easily.

Magic pads cost sh15,000 at Keen Business Solutions Limited on First Street in Industrial area. They are also available at Shoprite supermarkets.
