THE Sudan is still seeking Ugandan investors, particularly in the construction, information technology, manufacturing and agro-processing sectors.

Abd El Rahim El Siddig, the deputy envoy in Kampala, explained that the offer was aimed at promoting mutual business interests between the two countries.

“The best way to boost relations between Uganda and Sudan is through the promotion of business and the private sector.

“The chambers of commerce in both countries should play a leading role to promote relations between the two countries and be mutually beneficial to Uganda and Sudan,” El Siddig told Tom Buringuriza, the secretary general of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a courtesy call.

He said the favourable business environment and deep-rooted relationship between the two countries would enable traders and businessmen to take advantage of the various unexploited sectors in both countries.
