GULU district in partnership with development partners are building teachers’ houses in rural schools which were displaced during the LRA insurgency.
“In October 2006, UNICEF, World Food Programme and Gulu local government signed a memorandum of understanding where they would build a total of 20 houses for teachers in Gulu and Amuru districts.
The senior education officer in charge of administration, Caesar Akena, said Vision in Action is also building teachers’ houses in 12 primary schools.
