Tie & dye fabrics are a versatile, cheap and very often untapped resource that can replenish and revive our wardrobes if used cleverly. A tie & dye garment can be worn with something that has been in our wardrobe forever and give it new life, new life the African way.

Here is the last of eight different tie & dye options are explored for you to find something that will work for you and give an African revival to your wardrobe.

The outfit:
This outfit is perfect for business dinners, cocktails and staff parties. It is not for the office wall flower since it commands attention and requires confidence. This lady has gone African all the way!!

Tip:
Layering is a smart way of concealing curves that we want to hide but it must be done carefully to avoid adding bulk. Try using outfits with different fabric weights. (Preferably light fabric weights)
One must remember that a jacket attracts attention to the area where it stops. So to conceal a thick waist, have your jacket stop at your hips and so on.

Fabric requirements:
Fabrics that are ideal for this outfit are linen, bazaar and suiting fabric. An abstract tie & dye pattern is best for this outfit.
2metres of fabric is needed for the jacket. (The longer the jacket and fuller the figure, the more the fabric required)
2-2½ metres of fabric will be needed for the trouser. (The taller and fuller the figure, the more the fabric required).
