ARTISTICALLY talented children stand a chance to win prizes including bicycles, in the ongoing ‘Face of God’ painting competition run by the New Vision. The competition, which encourages children to use their imagination and creativity, requires them to draw and paint their impression of God’s face.

According to The New Vision’s deputy editor-in-chief, Barbara Kaija, the competition has in the past attracted massive response from children of all religions.

“Our first time, we got over 4,000 entries,” Kaija said, describing the competition as “an opportunity for children to express their thoughts on God.”

To participate in the competition children are required to cut out the entry coupons from the ‘Face of God’ adverts that run on Tuesdays and Thursdays in The New Vision and in the Saturday Vision.

The coupon should be attached to the child’s drawing, with a recent photograph of the child and sent to The New Vision offices on 3rd Street, Industrial Area, Kampala.

Entries can be sent to The New Vision, P.O.Box 9815, Kampala or the New Vision agents. Winners will be determined through nominations of by readers. All qualifying paintings will be published. The entries with the highest number of nominations will win.

Adults who participate in the nominations, stand a chance to win prizes in the grand draw. Children can enter the competition as many times as they like.
