The first edition of Toyota-Buffaloes rugby sevens lived up to its expectations as clubs put up a stiff competition that saw MTN Heathens overcome Entebbe Mongers 12-0 in the final to emerge champions at Kyadondo club, Lugogo, over the weekend.

Mbale Heroes and CRO kept their focus to return to the Uganda Super League with quarterfinals slots in the Eastern Super Mini League. Heroes take on Jinja’s Arsenal while CRO face home boys Kamuli in the first two quarterfinals today, while Busia and Kataka were still waiting for the last preliminary match results in group A.

KCC edge rivals Nkumba
- Kampala City Council Volleyball Club pulled off their third consecutive victory by edging arch rivals Nkumba University 3-2 in the national league over the weekend. The defending champions looked off form when they went down the first set 25-17, but recovered to win the second 25-16. Nkumba remains top of table on 13 points from seven matches the same with KCC but the latter conceding more sets.
