TICKETS for KADS’ shows often have to be booked in advance because they run out, especially for musicals.

And this is an award winning one (New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical).
An insecure flower shop assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers a plant with a craving for fresh blood.

Seymour appreciates the attention it attracts because he is trying to impress Audrey, the girl he loves.
Soon “Audrey II” (the plant) grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore.

It offers Seymour fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien poised for global domination.

Little Shop of Horrors has been staged in several capitals. In Africa, Kampala is probably the second city to host it after Johannesburg.

The director is optimistic: “Little Shop of Horrors” is a comedy, suitable for the wholefamily. It will make you laugh and cry.

You will be humming the catchy tunes for days,” he says.
