The case in which three men including Shaban Kasozi Nyonyintono, the driver of Col Ramadhan Kyomulesire, are accused of kidnapping their brother in Wakiso district with intent to murder him failed to take off on Thursday because investigators were still analysing their file. Nyonyintono, and his brothers; Hassan Lubega and Ali Kasozi were detained this month following claims that they killed their brother Yahaya Matovu, 28.

Four men were on Tuesday charged with the murder of a female student of Standard Secondary School. The men, Alexander Ssebulime, 29, Friday Kikabi, 32, Robert Nviri, 21, and Moses Gudoi, 20, allegedly waylaid Mastula Nansasi Nakanyike on May 3, gang-raped and strangled her. Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate, Francis Kobusheshe, did not allow the accused to plead the charges, saying they had committed a capital offence
Councillor's shops razed

A councilor from Kamwokya, Geoffrey Bahemuka on Thursday lost property worth sh10m after enforcement officers demolished buildings built on a road reserve. The shops where situated at Kamwokya-Kasasilo stage on Kira Road. “The nature of construction does not meet the required standards,†said Justine Kasule, the division's assistant town clerk.
