<b>Man held over fake money</b><br>GULU-The Police on Saturday arrested a 26-year-old man with sh21.6m fake money. Denis Ogweno, a resident of Teso Bar in Lira Municipality, was arrested at Gulu market trying to use a fake sh20,000 note to buy mangoes.

Denis Ogweno, a resident of Teso Bar in Lira Municipality, was arrested at Gulu market trying to use a fake sh20,000 note to buy mangoes. The regional Police spokesperson, Johnson Kilama, said Ogweno was searched and found with more fake money.

Army to shoot armed warriors
MOROTO-The resident district commissioner, Nahaman Ojwee, has instructed the army to shoot Karimojong warriors found in possession of illegal guns. Ojwee was addressing a security meeting at Lotome sub-county following rampart killings of people in several villages in the district. He said the warriors were violating the human rights of the innocent people.

Disabled want govt support
PADER-The district has the highest numbers of persons with disabilities, the representatives of the disabled persons have said. “We are over 24,000. The Government should come up with affirmative action for us. The laws enacted for the disabled should also be enforced,” the district councillor for the disabled, Aquilino Lukoch, said. Lukoch was receiving a cheque for sh1m from the MP for persons with disabilities, William Nokrach, last week.
