RUKUNGIRI-Ten Senior Four students of Makobore High School have been indefinitely suspended following a strike on June 20 in which a student, Mark Mugyenyi, died. Letters issued by the head teacher, Sepharts Turyabahika, on Friday stated that the individuals were no longer students of the school. Meanwhile, Venensio Katunguka, the father of Mugyenyi, has threatened to sue the Government for compensation.
MP donates 30 goats
NTUNGAMO-Woman MP Beatrice Rwakimari has donated over 30 goats to AIDS orphans in Rweikiniro and Ruhaama sub-counties. Rwakimari is also director of Appropriate Revival Initiative for Strategic Empowerment, an NGO. Handing over the goats at Rweikiniro sub-county headquarters, Rwakimari urged the beneficiaries to look after them well.
