KOBS will miss the input of flanker Ronnie Lutakome for this Saturday’s Bell Lager Super 8 Rugby League tie against G4S Pirates.

Lutakome, down with malaria, has scored six tries and amassed 45 points for the Uganda telecom Kobs this season.

“I’m on treatment that is why I didn’t train today and I will miss this Saturday’s show down,” Lutakome admitted on Tuesday.

But Kobs will be boosted by the return of scrum half Allan Masiko.

“We rested him last week but he is back for this weekend,” coach Ronnie Kaddu confirmed, adding that Kobs is ready for any team with or without the senior stars.

Kobs lead the table with 47 points followed by Pirates and Heathens with 46 and 45 respectively.

Meanwhile Irene Namapi bounced back unopposed as Uganda Women Rugby Association (UWRA) chairperson during the elections held at Kyadondo Tuesday night.

Namapi, vice chairperson Emmy Mudoola, secretary Hellen Buteme and treasurer Jeroline Akubu all bounced back unopposed.

Others elected on the committee include Pamela Abeja, Julian Kulaije and Sarah Nassali.

“I thank the women for maintaining trust in me. The main task I have now is to look for sponsors and spread the game among women countrywide,” Namapi noted.
