The last time he appeared on this page, Vincent Bagire had won the African Achievers’ UK Award in ICT from Bradford University, UK. Now we have learnt that Bagire has built at least two schools, Bugodi Community School and Bufulubi Secondary School in Baitambogogwe, Mayuge district.
Last weekend, Bagire led a group of his rich friends, including utl’s Hans Paulsen, city lawyer Fred Muwema and Eng. Stanley Konde, for fundraising in which sh16m was raised.
Bagire also brought water and electricity to his remote Wainha village. Naturally, rumours of political ambitions have crept in. Snoops now say Bagire has started laying the ground for the Bunya West MP slot come 2011.
