THE trial of Gulu resident state attorney who reportedly received a bribe has started in Kampala.

Augustine Oleng, attached to Gulu Police Station, said Emmanuel Muwongo tried to chew the notes worth sh150,000 when he was arrested.

Muwonge is alleged to have received the money from Peter Omondi as an inducement to drop a criminal case against Geoffrey Ojok, an accused.
