UGANDA’S U-17 outfit will need another top-drawer performance in attack if they are to successfully negotiate their way past a resilient Kenya side.

The team’s two-man attack of Julius Senoga and Daniel Sserunkuuma complemented well-taken strikes from Abdalla Mohammed and Isma Kabuye to guarantee Uganda a commanding 4-0 winning start against Ethiopia in Juba on Wednesday.

The pair will still have to deliver today if coach Richard Wasswa’s youngsters are to seal a quarter-final place in the CECAFA juniors tournament.

Ssenoga and Sserunkuuma made Ethiopia look ordinary. Their attacking chemistry is what Uganda will need to overrun Gossage Cup time arch rivals Kenya.

As opposed to the game against Ethiopia, Uganda will this time play a cautious game, but occasionally apply pressure on the opponents through midfielder Kizito Luwaga.

Luwaga just does enough to hand his teammates particularly Ssenoga the space to run in behind defenders.

Not only is his use of the ball masterful, but his timely tackling and movement infuse the rest of the team with confidence. That odd pass of his is what Uganda will need.
