- A Kenyan class one referee was killed and two others injured following fan trouble pitting two youth clubs in Thika near Nairobi.
Assistant referee Dan Etolle was attacked by irate fans that were unhappy after their team conceded a second goal. He died while undergoing treatment at a local hospital while two of his colleagues survived death by a whisker when they sought refuge in a nearby estate after being pounced on.

Byamukama signs 3-yr deal
- Two time national Golfer of the Year Vincent Byamukama has signed a three-year deal with CK Sports Management Company. The national stroke-play leader signed up with the company in Entebbe on Saturday during the 69th edition of the Uganda Open. “The deal will be to manage him in all the tournaments that he takes part in,” Kamal Sabuni, the chief executive of the company said.

Under-14 gala taking shape
