THE Arts Press Association (APA) is for the third time this year going to reward personalities who have contributed to the developments of art on Wednesday. The award ceremony will be held at Ange Mystic where the association will treat the nominated personalities to a cocktail.

Unlike last month when the competition cut across the various facets of art, music has reigned supreme in August fronting three of the five nominees for the Artist of the Month award.

Grace Nakimera was nominated for her good storyboard and heartrending composition of the video, Kawonawo.

Aziz Azion also got a nod for showing consistency and new style in his music. He was graceful at his Silk Unplugged session and kept his fingers busy while mastering the guitar.

Wilson Bugembe, who launched Kani at the beginning of the month, was applauded for the dynamism of the album. Stephen Rwangyezi, the director of Ndere Troupe, was nominated for the revival of the Munaku play after 22 years. The play combines dance and song to add variety to the drama.

Beverly Nambozo was nominated for initiating the Beverly Nambozo poetry awards. The past winners of the APA Artist of the Month awards are GNL Zamba and film maker, Dr. Sr. Dominic Dipio.
