UGANDANS who have been wondering as to why the senior presidential advisor on defence, Gen. Salim Saleh, resigned from parliament should wonder no more.

While officiating at the United Media Consultants and Trainers (UMCAT) School of journalism alumni dinner, the general let the cat out of the bag.

Saleh said there are ‘bad spirits’ at Uganda’s parliament and whenever he reached the entrance, he developed headache.

The debates too, he said, used to leave him confused hence his resignations.

His advice to young people: Do not fancy parliament as a source demonstrating brilliance; it does not provide a platform for intellectual debate. Hmm.
