ELDERS from Kibale district have advised President Yoweri Museveni to choose other people to advise him on Banyoro-Bakiga issues.
The team constituting of eleven local leaders, elders, and National Resistance Movement district leaders addressed a conference in Kampala recently.
Kibale district NRM vice-chairman John Bosco Bukya said: “The Banyoro-Mubende committee, which is partly advising the President, has people with a tainted history of service.â€
He said some of the President’s advisors where the same people organising riots in Kibaale.
The debate on the Banyoro-Bakiga conflict was re-ignited when Museveni proposed that all elective offices in the region be left for indigenous people.
