MITYANA - A woman who killed her husband last weekend is mentally ill, a report has revealed. Medical officers at Mityana Hospital advised that Rose Namata be given special care. The acting district Police chief, Nathan Matovu, said Namata killed her husband, identified only as Ponsiano, using an axe in Kawolongojjo village last Sunday. Matovu said Namata would be taken to Butabika Hospital.
Nambooze discharged
MUKONO - Democratic Party spokesperson Betty Nambooze has been discharged from Mukono Diocese Health Centre. She had been admitted for two weeks after developing an intestinal disorder. Nambooze said she had had two operations. Before admission, she was to be interrogated by CID officers over her alleged role in the pro-Buganda riots.
