EXPRESS was again in good form edging newcomers Hoima at Wankulukuku yesterday to regain the Uganda Super league lead.

It was double tragedy for the visitors, who after having their player Isaac Okorimo sent off for rough play, had defender Edson Kateregga heading into his own net the resultant free-kick.

Sulaiman Jjingo who curved the decisive free-kick after Hassan Mubiru being brought down by Okorimo later wasted two chances. The Red Eagles also gasped as Mubiru’s shot ended on the woodwork late in the game.

At Nakivubo, KCC recovered from their weekend loss to champions URA by beating a nine man Victors 3-0.

Ceaser Sapeo and Tommy Okello made good use of Moses Oloya crosses to head Sam Ssimbwa’s side into a first half lead. Bruno Olobo then sealed the scores in the 89th minute.

At Ssaza ground, Iganga took an Ibrahim Pengere 10 minute lead only to later crumble with an Abdallah Lusenge equalizer and a Simon Mbaziira winner for Nalubaale.

In Arua, hosts Arua Central secured their first win by beating Mbale’s CRO in a match where the league’s youngest player left everyone impressed.

Rashid Agau, a product of the Kampala Kids League, put Arua ahead in the second minute before Arish Matata stretched the lead with 15 minutes left.

Police continued with their unimpressive run losing to Maji at Namboole. Yusuf Kinene was Masaka’s star with the crucial goal that defeated Boroboro.
