ONLY recently, a bevy of Hollywood actors that including Jason Biggs of the American Pie franchise hit town to help save the mountain gorillas. During the time, another Hollywood darling, Jessica Simpson, was in town to do her own thing.

Now we have learnt that Hollywood royalty, actor Nicolas Cage is in town for yet another noble cause. The Face Off actor, one of the highest paid (commands over $20m a movie), will be visiting northern Uganda to raise awareness about the victims of war.

Apparently, Cage, a human rights activist, was so touched by the grim images he saw when he attended a fundraising for the Gulu kids in New York in January. All we know for now is that he should have arrived yesterday morning and will be leaving on Monday.

We will keep you posted. Cage has appeared in over 60 films, including, Ghost Rider (2007), National Treasure I (2004) and II (2007), Bangkok Dangerous (2008) and the recent Knowing (2009. He has won one Oscar award.
