KCC FC failed to march the pressure of the VTB Cup on their tour in Vietnam. The Kampala club won their opening encounter but lost their preceding two games in Group B.

KCC FC failed to march the pressure of the VTB Cup on their tour in Vietnam. The Kampala club won their opening encounter but lost their preceding two games in Group B.
Tommy Okello had struck a brace with Anthony Bongole and Willy Kavuma adding one each, as they beat SHB Da Nang 4-2 in their first game.
They however could not find their lucky boots in the next two group matches, losing to GDT Long An, and Duque De Caxias by a lone goal each.
The loss saw them finish third in the group and fail to advance to the semi-finals, which are due to start today.
But the club has more to worry about than the lucrative tournament prize after reports emerged that some of the players might not make it back home.
It is feared Asuman Buyinza, Bruno Olobo, Tommy Okello, Anthony Bongole and Willy Kavuma are likely to stay for professional trials.
Coach Sam Ssimbwa denied knowledge of such development.
“We expect the entire team back this weekend after the tournament. On any other theories, I have no comment,†said Ssimbwa.
