A SPLENDID restaurant is consistent with good food and great service. Faze 2 restaurant in Nakasero is one such restaurant. Behind the non-descript façade and serene atmosphere, this idyllic garden restaurant boasts an alfresco setting, complete with orchids, roses and a water fountain. Whether for lunch or dinner, Faze 2 is more than just another place to eat.

The menu offers a mix of Continental, Chinese and Indian with Tandoori varieties. From salads to appetisers, beef to seafood, chicken to pasta – Faze 2 satisfies every appetite!

For the health conscious, they are happy to customise your order to fit your special dietary needs. With the biggest constraint to up-scale restaurants being the hustle of balancing their range of products, quality plus a price fluctuation; management took it upon themselves to control every aspect to it.

The restaurant has an in-house butchery where their meats are aged. They also have contract chicken outgrowers and their own fishermen, to ensure sustenance and good quality.

The freshness from their ingredients and the chef’s obvious care in preparing each item cannot go without mention, especially since they grow their own herbs and vegetables on the premises.

With specialties like the baby goat or pig legs derived from suckling offspring’s to their Haloumi cheese with roasted vegetables - quality in taste is unmatched.

Boasting a seven-year span, the fruit shake served at its inception, still as thick and natural as it was back then.

FRUIT SHAKE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1 Banana
1 Pineapple
2 ripe Mangoes
Half a pawpaw
Juice from 3 oranges
Juice from 3 passion fruits

HOW TO MAKE IT
Put ice cubes into a blender and add the fruits in any order. Do not add any sugar or sweetener.
Blend the fruits and ice until the mixture is smooth. If it is too thick, add a little water.
Then simply pour into a glass and serve.

Fruit shake is nutritional and if you have an extremely busy schedule, one glass can be adequate to carry you through the day.
