Save us from the water crisis

EDITOR — I would like to bring to the Government’s attention, the water crisis in Koboko town. The situation seems to be getting out of control. A jerry can of water which used to cost sh100 in town, now goes for sh1,500.

This has forced poor families to spend sleepless nights waiting for the little water that is available.

Others are forced to fetch dirty water from the few streams like Appa, Dikasi and Majimuzuri around the town, but they are soon drying up. I even witnessed some people fetching water from sewerage lines!

I appeal to the Government and National Water and Sewerage Corporation to treat this water crisis with urgency.
